    THE STUDIO

BAX studio is an architectural office based in Barcelona run by Boris Bežan and Mónica Juvera. Together with their team and a network of collaborators located in different countries, they have developed works whose quality and originality have been recognized with international awards. BAX studio approaches architecture from a reflective nature placing at the center of its design process the search for an idea that functions as a catalyst for unique and effective solutions. The result is a coherent and original architecture, while their proven technical expertise allows them to develop projects on a wide range of scales. Spatial richness, dialogue with pre-existences, and the relationship between architecture and public space become common and inherent criteria in their work.

    Mónica Juvera

Graduated in architecture at Monterrey Institute of Technology and Higher Education Querétaro campus, with a master’s degree in landscape architecture at the Polytechnic University of Catalonia. Between then and the establishment of BAX studio in 2017, she combined the practice of architecture with the development of entrepreneurial projects around design and education in creative and critical thinking through art. Her architectural works were recognized with several international publications and prizes as the nominations for the Mies van der Rohe and Plecnik awards in 2016. In the field of design, she signed two utility patents. In 2018 she was a visiting professor at the School of Architecture of the University of Texas at Austin.
