BAX is run by Boris Bežan and Mónica Juvera, award-winning architects who developed international projects from Spain, Slovenia, Finland, Norway to Mexico city. The practice is based in Barcelona and with a well-designed network operates in other countries around the globe.
The office is specialized in creating unique and coherent architecture solutions that span from social, landscape, structure to sustainable design. The process of work in the office allows that the proposals are well thought and that the unique and best solutions are found through intensive teamwork. On the other hand, the compact structure of the office allows the full dedication of main architects to the whole project, from general ideas to last details.
Boris Bežan won several important international awards, including the Spanish International Architecture Award 2013, Plečnik award 2015, the North America Wood Design Award 2015, the XIII Spanish Architecture Biennal, and two nominations for the Mies van der Rohe Award 2015 and 2017.
Mónica Juvera won several awards in international competitions, including a nomination for the Mies van der Rohe Award in 2017. In addition to her work in BAX, she leads the design project LOOPE.
