REGIONAL CENTRE FOR PROTECTION, RESCUE AND ASSISTANCE | NOVO MESTO, SLOVENIA

The new Regional Center for Protection, Rescue and Assistance in Novo Mesto, stands as a landmark at the city’s entrance, seamlessly integrating with its surroundings. Structured in three volumes, it optimizes functionality and efficiency.
At its core, a column-free garage streamlines vehicle movement, linking intervention areas, locker rooms, and rest spaces in a logical sequence.
Its stepped form adapts to the urban context, with a permeable ground floor and compact upper levels. A steel and wood structure ensures both rationality and sustainability.
Designed for near-zero energy consumption, the building integrates active and passive strategies for optimal efficiency.
